A street vendor sells pictures of Amadou Bamba Mbacké (the two pictures on the left) and his sons in the streets of Touba during the Grand Magal Festival, while a man with fake Gucci sandals passes by. On the markets of Senegal many fake brand products from China are offered for sale, and because most of the vendors belong to a Sufi Brotherhood, it is inevitable that the Marabouts also receive money from the sales of those fake products through the contributions of their followers. The Marabouts invest a part of those contributions to build mosques and enlarge the Grand Mosque of Touba. The Grand Mosque was inaugurated in 1963 under the leadership of Serigne Fallou Mbacké, whose portrait is often shown together with the main mInaret of the Grand Mosque, such as on the lower picture on the right.
