A Talibé collects garbage on a rubbish dump in Dakar. Behind the landfill site the towers of the yet unfinished Massalikoul Djinane mosque rise to the sky. The Talibés, as the boys and girls who attend a school for Quran are called, are often sent to the streets to beg for money for their Marabouts, who are obliged to give part of the income from the begged funds to their wealthy Khalifs, who donate for the construction of new mosques.
