Sicily, Italy. Gaia Palma at Villa Chiaramonte Bordonaro ai Colli, Palermo, at the family home. Her grandfather would receive guests every evening in the dining room at 11 pm, where they would remain until 6am the following morning to go hunting in the adjacent Favorita park. The villa houses a large art collection that is one of the most important private collections in southern Italy, with paintings and artefacts dating back to the 14th century. The house is known as “Villa Carolina” because it hosted Queen Maria Carolina of Bourbon as well as Admiral Nelson.
