Belluno (Italy), view of the city from the Piave River: the rafts transported timber directly to the Arsenale following the course of the river. The Venetian rafts take their name from this tradition. In the photo, at the bottom on the right of the river, is the church of San Nicolò, patron saint of the Piave barges.
