The circular economy is a new model for sustainable development that reduces the consumption of raw materials and the production of waste in order to create shared value. On 29 November 2017 eight Italian companies with an international profile (Enel, Intesa Sanpaolo, Novamont, Costa Crociere, Gruppo Salvatore Ferragamo, Bulgari, Fater and Eataly) gathered at Confindustria (the country’s business association) and signed the “Alliance for the Circular Economy.” These companies cover a number of different sectors and they clearly believe that a new paradigm can help make “Made in Italy” more competitive.
Our video, which is presented in a rhythmic crescendo, uses a series of graphic animations to explain the Alliance and to connect the various types of production chains that are involved (from fashion to energy, from the food to chemical industries). It shows how “thinking circular” can be good both for business and the planet.
