USA. Christine Paige, a Birmingham Alabama teacher, and Cornelius McAdoo, a New Jersey financial operator, visit the National Memorial For Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama. The memorial is commonly known as the Lynching Memorial because it is dedicated to the victims of the thousands of lynchings that occurred in the counties of each of the confederate states between the American civil war and the end of racial segregation.
