Vito Fusco wins the Sony World Photography Award

For the second year in a row, a Parallelozero project wins the prestigious Sony World Photography Award. After Alessandro Gandolfi’s “Immortality, Inc.” in 2020, this year it is Vito Fusco who wins in the Documentary Projects category with “The Killer Daisy.” The project tells the story of the “flower of death”: pyrethrum. Cultivated on the hills of Kenya, it has been used for centuries as a natural insecticide and has conquered the global pesticide market: it has a very low content of harmful and toxic substances, is extremely volatile and does not penetrate the sap of plants.
