TEDx Milan: what is change?
For the 2019 edition – dedicated to change, a theme that saw speakers of the highest caliber take turns on stage at the Dal Verme Theater – TEDx Milan asked Parallelozero, in the role of smart partner, to document the event in an original way that would be able to return the liveliness of the situation and the speeches.
A team of journalists, photographers and videomakers covered the Milan event to produce photo and video content to be disseminated through TEDx’s digital communication channels: website, social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), Youtube and Flickr.
Interviews with the event’s protagonists – including curators Catherine and François de Brabant, actor Giacomo Poretti (a member of the comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo), nanobiophysicist Alberto Diaspro, and European Space Agency (ESA) engineer Tommaso Ghidini – were conducted with the aim of producing an original video format.
The dynamic and inspirational video revolves around different interpretations of the word “changes” and was created through skillful editing, combining interviews of the protagonists with images and footage from the event and backstage.
For the photo coverage, on the other hand, the choice was to use a documentary language attentive to composition and details, which allowed for a choral narrative of the event’s protagonists: not only the speakers on stage, but also the large audience and volunteers of the TEDx team.
