Telespazio, bringing space to Earth
Telling the exploration of space from an unprecedented point of view: that of Earth’s inhabitants, whose daily lives are made better by the technologies and innovations pioneered in the cosmos. This was the challenge issued to us by Telespazio, a world leader in satellite services, geoinformation and network navigation systems.
The company is among the most advanced in an ever-changing market. Its need was to tell the general public about its capabilities, particularly that of anticipating the future and making our Planet a better place to live through the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Bringing Space to Earth
Taking inspiration from some of the most memorable and iconic images in the history of cinema, it was chosen to represent Telespazio’s commitment to research and development by combining science, science fiction and humanity in an emotional and inspirational creative concept. A concept capable of representing a new look for the brand, focused on the ambitious goal of contributing to sustainable innovation and digital transformation through technological and economic development, environmental protection and social responsibility.
By associating a spectacular component with the importance and centrality of the content, the psychographic and age gap of the different target groups was narrowed, allowing the brand to speak to a wider audience, with an eye toward possible new talent for recruiting purposes.
The visual idea stems from careful iconographic research, aimed at identifying a style that can illustrate both the brand’s history and its future. Space collages from U.S. sci-fi magazines such as Weird Tales, Super Science Tales, and Analog, or from the abstract and pop arts of the 1950s and 1960s inspired by the Space Age, were the starting point for creating a link to popular culture through science fiction.
The computer graphics technique used to decline the creative concept combines space and earthbound elements in a mood capable of touching deep chords in most people.
